Sam Altman’s World Project Launches in US with Visa Card
Sam Altman’s human verification crypto project, World, has gone live in the United States with plans to introduce a Visa card and a pilot dating app integration with Tinder. The initiative, backed by the OpenAI CEO, aims to distinguish real users from AI-generated accounts in digital spaces.
Initially rolling out in six U.S. cities—Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco—the WLD platform will allow users to verify their personhood and earn WLD tokens. The World Card will enable verified users to spend directly from the World App while earning rewards wherever Visa is accepted.
